We're home and adjusting

We got home Saturday afternoon and have been adjusting well. Griffin is a laid back baby like his sister until about 9-10pm when he wants to nurse CONSTANTLY. During the day he'll sleep in his pack n play just fine, but wants to be close to one of us at night. We'll start working on that soon, but right now the path to the most sleep wins out.

Yesterday Matt set up the studio for me and I tried to take some pictures of Caroline and Griffin. I managed to get two before I was in WAY too much pain. Luckily Matt took over and got the cute picture of Caroline and Griffin. Today I had some alone time with Griffin and took the time to get some more images of him and wanted to share them.

Welcome to the world Griffin James

Baby Griffin is here!!!!!!! We had to have a c-section, but he's here safe and I'm doing good (although the epidural is still in so I'll update again tomorrow). I'll post a birth story and more pictures tomorrow sometime. We'll be in the hospital until Saturday probably, but luckily we have wi-fi and a laptop.

3pm and no baby in sight

It's 3pm and we're no closer to having Griffin here than we were this morning. Everytime the Pitocin gets above 6 or 8 his heart rate starts to decelerate towards the end of my contractions. We're waiting on the doctor to come in and give us our options.

Caroline's Day

So Caroline and I are heading off for another fun day. We're going to lunch at McDonald's, then to get her hair cut, then to get a manicure/pedicure for me and to get her nails/toes painted. Hopefully we'll have some time this afternoon to play around and get the final things done around the house. We're going to take Caroline to dinner somewhere nice and then take her to Grammy and Gramps house for the time we're in the hospital. I expect her to spend TONS of time with us at the hospital and we would LOVE it if she could stay over night with us, but I don't think that will be possible. She's looking so forward to baby Griffin's arrival and was running around this morning yelling "Griffin's coming tomorrow! Griffin's coming tomorrow!"

Last Doctor's Appointment

I had my last doctor's appointment this morning and I'm dialated to 3cm. So if I don't go into labor tonight or tomorrow I'll be going in Wednesday morning at 7am for an induction. With Caroline I was not dialated at all when they started the induction around 9:30 or 10am and she arrived at 5:36pm so I'm hoping it will be much shorter this time around since I'm starting a little further along. My guess is he'll be about 8.5 lbs and 20 inches long so we'll see how close I am sometime before Wednesday night. I'll post an update with pictures as soon as possible at the hospital or I'll have Matt do it.
